What does a treatment feel like?
Thai Massage can best be described as a moving meditation between practitioner and client. Sessions are very relaxing – you’ll leave feeling like jello! Many folks doze off during their treatments, so don’t feel embarrassed if this happens to you; I take it as a compliment that I’m doing my job well.
At the same time, you’ll probably feel very invigorated by the work. Clients list a host of benefits: relief from chronic and acute pain, increased stamina, sharpened mental focus, and an easing of sleep problems.
Following your treatment, many folks enjoy a long, hot bath with one cup of Epsom salts. The salts draw out any toxins that were released from your tissues during our time together. Be sure to drink plenty of pure water during and after your bath, as the Epsom salts draw fluids from your body as well as toxins.
Another option is to mix together one cup each of Epsom salts and baking soda into your bath water, along with a few drops of juniper berry essential oil. The combination of the Epsom and soda help to balance your yin and yang energies. Juniper is an exceptional detoxifier.
